Whosoever Will Ministry Bridge

“Not so shall it be among you: but whosoever would become great among you shall be your minister; and whosoever would be first among you shall be your servant: even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”

Matthew 20:26-28

Building Disciples. Making a Difference.

The call to minister is a rare and precious gift. If you are moved to preach and teach God’s Word and wish to be a vital leader of the Cumberland Presbyterian community, you are needed now more than ever. With the assistance and guidance provided by the Ministry Bridge, you can help change the world.

Bethel University students discerning a call to ordained ministry who plan to attend Memphis Theological Seminary will benefit from ongoing guidance in their spiritual journey. Ministry students who have earned an undergraduate degree from Bethel University or a Masters of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary may also benefit from generous assistance in adhering to their call.

Those who answer a call as Pastor of a Cumberland Presbyterian Church after graduation may receive an additional stipend of $1,000 per month during their first five years of ministry.

Pastors Retreat

A retreat was designed for respite and restoration for Cumberland Presbyterian pastors.

Our team will identify 15 pastors a month to visit Whitestone County Inn in East Tennessee for a three-day retreat for their family. Whitestone has been providing rest and restorative services to pastors and missionaries for over 20 years. With over 10,000 stays, Whitestone has enabled families to return to Christian service with a renewed spirit.

During the retreat, participants will be asked to attend a small informal gathering to discuss their roles in the Whosoever Will Bridge program. There will be no cost to the pastors and their families for this program. The goal is to give them an opportunity for rest and recreation from their hectic schedules and requirements and to spend some quality restorative family time.
