From Dr. Walter Butler
President, Bethel University

Commencement ceremonies are one of the most important times of the college experience. Our Bethel family always looks forward to watching our graduates cross the stage at this momentous occasion with their families present.

For those that have never attended a Bethel University graduation ceremony, we generally have about 3,000 attendees in our Crisp Basketball Arena. As of now, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to have our May Commencement ceremony on the same day as our our August Commencement on Saturday, August 1, 2020. We will have one ceremony in the morning and one in the afternoon. We think it is important to honor your accomplishments and we want to have this celebration for you and your families.

Although the Spring Semester Commencement will not take place until August 1, 2020, our University Registrar will still be conferring your degrees as you complete your studies. We will be sending more information about that very soon.

These are unique times. We are seeing changes to our way of living each and every day. I hope this is one way we can preserve this important event in your life.
