Dear graduating students and families,
Commencement ceremonies are one of the most important times of your college experience. Our Bethel family always looks forward to watching our graduates cross the stage at this momentous occasion with their families present.
However, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we must prioritize the health and safety of every member of the Bethel community. With that, the difficult decision has been made to postpone our upcoming fall graduation ceremony scheduled for November 21st. At this time, we plan to combine the November and May ceremonies to be held in May at Wildcat Stadium.
We take great pride in our commencement traditions, and we don’t want you to miss out on the opportunity to celebrate your accomplishments with family, friends, fellow students, faculty, and staff of the university.
Although the Fall Commencement will not take place until May 2021, our University Registrar will still be conferring your degrees as you complete your studies.
This year’s graduating students’ resilience and ability to persevere through trying times are extraordinary. There is no doubt in my mind that you will use these circumstances to learn and to grow. We look forward to celebrating with you in May!
Thank you for your understanding,
President Walter Butler
