McKenzie, TN – (February 6, 2025) – Marcie Boutwell, Dean of the Library at Bethel University, has officially begun her two-year term as President of the Board of Directors for Tenn-Share, a state-wide library consortium dedicated to supporting resource-sharing, professional development, and collaborative initiatives across Tennessee.

Boutwell has served on the Tenn-Share Board in various capacities, including a two-year term as Vice President, which concluded in December. Following her presidency, she will continue serving the Board as Past President, ensuring continuity and leadership for the organization.

“Tenn-Share’s mission of fostering collaboration among libraries across the state is vital to the communities we serve,” said Marcie Boutwell. “I am honored to lead this organization as we work to strengthen our professional development programs and expand access to essential resources for libraries of all types and sizes.”

The Tenn-Share Board comprises volunteers elected to support purchasing, professional development, and state-wide initiatives. While Board meetings remain virtual, Boutwell is expected to serve as Tenn-Share’s representative to the Tennessee Advisory Council on Libraries (TACL), which meets in person twice a year.

Vice President Mallard praised Boutwell’s appointment, stating, “Marcie’s dedication and experience make her the perfect leader for Tenn-Share during this pivotal time. Her vision and passion for library collaboration will undoubtedly propel the consortium’s work forward.”
