Head Shooting Coach (Part-Time)
Reports to: Athletic Director
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: Administers the entire scope of the shooting program.
Under the general direction of the Athletic Director
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Athletic Director
Works as needed to recruit students and facilitate training and competition schedules
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. The coach's primary responsibility will be instructing the student-athlete, teaching various athletic methods of success, as well as training them in the proper style. Furthermore, the coach will directly educate the student-athlete on how to best succeed in their chosen athletic endeavor. In short the coach will be expected to instruct student-athletes how to succeed in sport and in life through techniques demonstrated, modeled, and shown in practice as well as in the classroom and in life
2. . Recruitment of qualified student-athletes
3. Coordinating Team Travel
4. Maintaining equipment and facilities
5. Implementing and maintaining necessary budget limitations, inventory, coordination,
management of staff and development of the shooting program and fundraising.
6. Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

Minimum Qualifications | |
Knowledge/Education Experience Licensure, Registration, Certification | Bachelor’s Degree Related work experience in coaching shooting |
Desired Qualifications | |
Knowledge/Education Experience Licensure, Registration, Certification | Master’s Degree 5 years of experience as a high school/collegiate coach |
Physical Requirements:
Work requires moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds) on a continuous basis (over 50% of time); or heavy physical exertion (over 50 pounds) on a frequent basis (up to 50% of time).
Environmental Conditions:
Work involves frequent exposure to unpleasant working conditions or undesirable elements, may involve exposure to a variety of elements which are potentially hazardous or harmful which require exercise of well defined precautions for protection from injury or illness.
