Career Services and International Student Affairs Coordinator
Reports to: Dean of Student Life
Status: Full Time
Location: McKenzie, TN
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: The Career Services and International Student Affairs Coordinator works under the direction of the Dean of Student Life.
Responsibilities Include:
- Organize and host an annual Career Fair for students involving campus departments, faculty, and community partners
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department and faculty members to advertise informational seminars on graduate applications, internship opportunities, and general career guidance
- Serve as Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for International Students in maintaining compliance with all laws and regulations related to F-1 students
- Maintain Bethel University's Form I-17 Petition
- Serve as a mediator between International Students and Bethel University; advise and counsel F-1Visa status students about immigration regulations; and counsel students who are identified as academically or behaviorally at-risk on the 3-6-9 Reports
- Work with International Students, Financial Services, and Human Resources to prepare 1042 tax forms
- Conduct onboarding orientation sessions with International Students
- Assist with Freshman Orientation and annual Institutional Effectiveness reports

Minimum Qualifications | |
Knowledge/Education Experience Licensure, Registration, Certification | Bachelor’s Degree 2 years of experience in student life or related field |
Desired Qualifications | |
Knowledge/Education Experience Licensure, Registration, Certification | Master’s Degree 5 years of experience in student life or related field |
Physical Requirements:
Work requires the physical demands of standing, bending, lifting, stooping or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) on an occasional basis (up to 15% of time) and frequent walking; or moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds) on an intermittent basis (not a routine part of the job).
Environmental Conditions:
Work is performed under normal working conditions as in a standard office environment.
